The Economic Development Agency for the City of Madrid-Agencia de Desarrollo Económico de la Ciudad de Madrid (Henceforth Madrid Emprende or the Agency), in compliance with current legislation on data protection and privacy, informs esmadrid.com users of its Data Protection Policy, to be applied to the use of personal data facilitated by users who access, use and/or register on esmadrid.com
The Agency guarantees confidentiality in dealing with users' personal data, and hereby confirms, in accordance with article 9 of Organic Act 15/1999, of December 13th, on data protection and privacy, that it has taken the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure security of personal data, and to prevent alteration, loss, or unauthorized access to or management of the same, having taken into consideration the type of technology, the nature of data stored, and potential risks, whether these may be due to human error or due to the physical or natural environment.
Likewise, the Agency informs users that facilities, systems and files used to store personal data comply with security measures established by Royal Decree 994/1999, of June 11th, which stipulates security measures to be applied to automatic files containing information of a personal nature.
Visitors' Register
The Agency hereby informs esmadrid.com users that the IP address from which they access the Promoción Madrid server and the date, access time, and pages which they visit will be collected and stored in a LOG archive to be used by Promoción Madrid to calculate visitor numbers, as well as for statistical purposes.
Users' register
Users' personal data as requested by the esmadrid.com register is handled automatically and included in a file for personal data, which is the responsibility of the Agency, and duly registered with the Data Protection Agency under the name "aseroramiento empresarial".
Said data must be truthful, accurate, complete and up-to-date, and the user alone shall be held responsible for any damage, direct or indirect, which may be caused to the Agency or third parties as a result of the falsity, inaccuracy, insufficiency or failure to update the same.
In the case of minors, authorization from a parent or legal guardian must be obtained before providing any such personal data. The Agency will not be held responsible for failure to comply with this requirement.
Personal data requested by the Agency is collected and administered with the aim of: (i) user identification, so as to provide a more personalized service; (ii) administration, study and improvement of services; (iii) research into and design of new services based on user preferences; and (iv) despatch of technical, commercial and general information.
The person concerned retains the right to access this data at all times, as well as to rectify, cancel or dispute the same in accordance with current data protection law. To this end, the Agency has established free, simple processes which may be utilised by users.
Personal data provided to the Agency shall not be passed on to third parties without the permission of the person concerned, except in those cases expressly permitted by law, and in which all other legal requirements are met.
In any event, the user may revoke his/her consent for storage or use of his/her personal data at any time, by means of a letter to the person in charge of the file at the Agency address. Said letter must sent by recorded delivery, fax or Burofax and include the signature of the person to whom the data applies, along with his/her address, and a copy of his/her official identity document.
Use of Cookies
With the aim of making the service more responsive, and ensuring rapid identification of each user, the Agency hereby informs that the use of Cookies is necessary for the correct functioning of esmadrid.com. This tool, which is saved in the hard disk of the user's computer, is used to store certain information on how the user utilizes esmadrid.com with a view to its retrieval at a later date, but does not save any data which may reveal the user's identity.
