One of the most ambitious strategic projects that Madrid Emprende has developed is the creation of the Scientific and Technological Park of the City of Madrid. 

Among the park model’s strategic sectors, that of New Material Technology (NMT) especially stands out, as its two principle strategic sectors are Nanotechnology and Engineering.

Nanotechnology refers to scientific and technological activities that are carried out on a scale smaller than one micrometer, as well as the new properties studied and controlled on the mentioned scale.

The main applications of Nanotechnology are: materials, electronics, medicine and energy… as well as others from which great benefits are hoped to be achieved, such as new or more efficient medical applications, solutions to environmental problems as well as others.

However, the concept of nanotechnology remains little well-known in our society.
